A study not being replicated by a subsequent study isn't the same as the conclusion of a study being wrong.
Also the 70% figure refers to 70% of researchers who responded to a survey saying they had tried to replicate a study in the past and weren't able to.
That aside, for psychology specifically you can find actual replication rates at or below 30% (not for real sciences though).

>not all recursion is illogical.
Recursion on its own doesn't really have much to do with the irony of trusting a study to tell you studies shouldn't be trusted.
You can use a study to show studies are published more often on Tuesdays than Sundays and that wouldn't be ironic or self-defeating.
The part that made your statement comical is you trusted (what you believed was) a study (though really it was a survey) as the basis for concluding random guesses are more trustworthy than studies.

>But the rest of the gut flora will re-process those somehow and make things work.
Nor sure what you mean. There are a lot of people whose GI response to beans are just as bad as a lactose intolerant person's GI response to milk.
They even make products like Beano that are analogous to products like Lactaid.

When I was in my 20s I was even more autistic than I am now and even though my apartment had an oven and a stove I never used them once and only used the microwave for anything involving heat / pseudo-cooking for food.
I'm pretty sure I fucked up bacon when I tried "making" my own back then and ended up with it being half raw and half burnt.
I also repeatedly tried microwaving spam to make it like the good kind I got from this Hawaiian restaurant (spam loco moco). It was never anywhere close no matter how long I tried boiling it in a microwave.
Turns out frying pans matter.

It's crazy how fast you can ruin your life with fire.
I almost ended up a felon because I went along with a friend on a camping trip in hot and dry Tempe AZ and he started a little campfire which ended up spreading out of control. I've seen some of the news stories in recent years where they convict people who accidentally started massive forest fires and the courts don't go easy on them at all.
