Take the Canola pill. Much healthier than olive oil or butter/lard/ghee/tallow etc.

Canola is rich in good fats and can help reduce the risk of heart disease when used instead of saturated fats by reducing LDL cholesterol in the blood. Canola oil has just 7% saturated fat the least of the common culinary oils. No transvestite fat. AT ALL. It also has a much higher smoke point; better for cooking applications.

You can literally replace 90% of your oil/fat etc usage products with canola. Not EVERYTHING. But most things.

It's a very healthy oil yes. Canola has much less saturated and monounsaturated fat and more vitamin E and K than olive oil. I mainly use canola which is a healthy oil because it is very low in saturated fat (7%). Like olive oil, it is high in monounsaturated fat (63%) but is much better for cooking with. Especially at high temps. Canola oil also contains a significant level of polyunsaturated omega-3 fat (9-11%), In addition, canola oil contains significant amounts of phytosterols (about 0.9% by weight) that reduce the absorption of cholesterol into the body. So basically, it's the best and healthiest oil for me. Also better priced.

So yeah, all around Canola is pretty much the winner. Oh... I forgot it has a much higher smoke point which means you can use it for more types of cooking than other oils.

Did I mention it's also much cheaper?

Yes. Canola is better.

You can use canola in everything from cakes and cookies to soups and casseroles and it's especially good tossed cold with a fresh garden salad.

I use canola on everything because it's healthier than olive oil. Nothing better than a fresh chilled garden salad shaken with canola. Also goes well on steaks and in cookies and cakes. I won't even get started how good it is in Mac and cheese.
