/ck/ - Food & Cooking

OP reporting in. Just wanted to say that I've regularly been making drunken threads like this for close to a decade now, and never intended this to be some kind of covert al/ck/ thread (or that I think a thread belongs to the OP after they hit, "Submit"). That said, I believe that /ck/ has always been the drunk board, and when you start a thread asking a basic or very specific question here you're most likely going to get the best replies from drunk industry anons. When someone decided to make al/ck/ a general I said many times that it was a terrible idea - as generals are always cancer are on slower boards - and I believe it was banned because of all the woe is me /r9k/ crossboarding bullshit. If you can't talk about your alcoholism on /ck/ without a general then you probably don't belong here. al/ck/ was never meant to be some kind of containment thread; it was always the heart of /ck/.
