Brown the meat, add the onions, add the spices and herbs, add some red wine and a little weissbier yadda yadda. There's nothing new under the sun.
Simmered it with the lid on for about an hour and a half before throwing some potatoes and a couple red beets in there. Mostly because that's what I had in the house and I need to get rid of perishables.
