how the fuck do i stop burning garlic when making the sauce for my steak? whenever i cook steak i use the leftover juices in the pain to cook onions and garlic then put some water and milk/cream to reduce it, but today i only had garlic and water. it fucking burned in like 30 seconds flat. i had no time to reduce the water. what the fuck do i do? this was on medium heat on my stovetop too. i had the steaks cooking for about 4-5 minutes. should i cook them in 3?
