Eh, if someone gets a few drops of piss on their bed pad (the absorbent fabric thing that goes under someone who wears a diaper to bed) the vast majority of us (me included) will "idgaf" instead of changing it. It's just not worth disturbing the resident that much (which would involve rolling them side to side more than is absolutely necessary) instead of letting them rest. Other than that trivial thing, we really provide superb care at our facility and pull no stops in caring for our people.

Not that I know of on our (the nursing) end. There are assessments done by the director of nursing (who is a lazy cunt, tbdesu) and the assistant director of nursing but even though some applicants are CLEARLY nursing home candidates or are straight up ON HOSPICE(we're an assisted living facility), they end up being admitted anyways. Many of us believe that this is because of our marketing/sales executive who has ties to corporate. Money is king, essentially, and the ones who bear the brunt of misplaced residents is the nursing staff. Trust me, if our facility was actually and strictly "assisted living" then my job would be a fucking cakewalk. Instead, a large chunk of my shift is taking care of hospice and should-be-hospice residents who have shit hospice services that don't send fucking hospice aides to sit with and care for their dying clients.
