Agreed. Popeye's does have a couple points over CFA though: the batter is a lot crispier and really satisfying to bite into, and the bun is better than what CFA uses.

But the meat on a CFA sandwich is so much juicier and more flavorful. And their spicy sandwich has that spicy breading which is better than the wack-ass oversalty spicy mayo that Popeye's uses for their spicy sandwich. The spicy deluxe with cheese from CFA is the best goddamn fast food item ever made. FUCK I want one now, but of course...it's Sunday.

Why do we let chicken-based places get away with insane prices? Chicken is like $1/lb and beef is like $3/lb. A Chick-fil-a sandwich should be significantly cheaper than a big mac, but instead it costs much more.

Cant beat $3.85 for a spicy chicken sandwich...which i then take home in order to add lettuce, tomato, etc. Its only 4.19 for the deluxe version, but I always have veggies in my fridge. Also, im not the biggest fan of cheese on chicken, unless its a chicken parm.

I'll enlighten you plebs:

Season both sides of boneless, skinless chicken thigh with black pepper, cayenne pepper, and chili pepper (all in powder form) and cook on a pan greased with real butter.

Serve on a burger bun with pickle slices on the bottom, optionally adding cheese, mayo, and ketchup on top.
