Best food from this country

I know it's autistic but I want to start eating like a german would, no specific region in mind.
Atm I've got pickled herrings, sauerkraut, potato salad, sauerbraten, spätzle, schnitzel and bratwurst.
Any suggestions of what I should do? Any books to read?

Hello Germanons. I want to make a senfbraten in my slow cooker. My plan is to rub the pork down with mustard, sear it in a frying pan, then put in the crock pot with potatoes, onion, and broth. It seems very simple so am I missing something? Gib advice please.

What are some must-try German foods? I am going to Germany for a week next year. I have work to do in Berlin but would have the opportunity to travel a little bit.
