I've lived in flyover states, NYC, SF, and London. I'm surprised at how assblasted everyone is at each other. In Utah, I drove to work. In NYC and London, I took the train. That was probably the main difference. I guess NYC food options were better, but also a pain to get to.

People make too much of the differences. Once you boil it down, everybody's day-to-day life is about the same. Probably the main difference is that in NYC you have more creative opportunities for work.
