What's the most horrific regional cuisine you've ever tasted? I travel a lot for work and frequently find myself in Ohio since my company has an office in Cincinnati. Being Cincinnati, the local residents have an obsession with forcing everybody who visits their native habitat to eat chili spaghetti and will not take no as an answer. Each resident being has an entire song and dance routine to explain why the last several times you've tried it that either something was wrong with how it was made or it was from the wrong place or the lunar phase was incorrect for the amount of cheese shreds they put on top, which gives it the taste of dirty shoes sprinkled with cinnamon. Whatever it is, they make you relive the traumatic experience again and again because they simply can't accept that it's both a flavor and texture abomination.
