>I don't 'get' steak. It's expensive as fuck, the texture isn't anything special, and the flavor is good but also singular and unsophisticated. I don't understand why a hunk of meat with salt and pepper is considered some kind of gourmet experience. It would taste better in a sandwich or a stir fry or burger or something. I'm not saying I hate steak, but I'd prefer to eat most other foods. There's nothing deluxe about it except the cost. It's boring. A cheap stir fry, a burrito, a sandwich or a curry would be half the cost and three times the flavor.
