Have you ever been to a big city in your life? Most big cities I've been to are at least bilingual.

Just like everywhere in the world, meet people with better education and they will probably be more eloquent in English than many natives from the US or UK.

I am going to guess that the customer types are completely different in each country. Restaurant culture is also completely different.

Japan. Around ¥24000 per month which converts to $220 or 184 Euros. I am still learning how to cook, but I don't eat out, don't order food, and prepare my own meals for work. Making my own food as opposed to buying at work has made quite a difference not only my wallet but on my health. Feel much better.
