Seriously, why is /ck/ so tolerant of these hobo brewing threads, when any other type of alcohol thread is nothing but assholes trying to call other assholes "plebs" for drinking decent alcohol.

Stop trying to ferment these small quantities of crap with baking yeast.

At the very least, invest in something that will be drinkable. I would recommend picking up some unpasteurized apple cider (its probably the closest to full-proof). Then, whatever you do, actually invest in some appropriate yeast (this will be well under $10, and closer to $5 - and if you are only doing a gallon you could use it for a few batches, as they are usually enough for at least 5 gallons). If you are going to try to make wine, buy wine yeast (any kind if far better than bread yeast). Once again, I'd suggest starting with apple cider/juice. For that, buy either cider yeast or champagne yeast.

If you are actually serious about brewing some shit invest a little time and money into it; it will very quickly pay off. Stop trying to make vomit juice from nothing more than a /ck/ vertical and then starting threads wondering what you did wrong.
