I’m not gonna dignify this retardation with a direct reply. This is like when hobbyist coders on /g/ scold people for using IDEs because technically you can get the job done with VIM. Consider this though. Goosenecks aren’t expensive. You can get them at any supermarket. Other than a nice grinder, it’s the biggest recommendation for getting better at making your daily cup of coffee. No, you don’t absolutely need one, but I don’t know why you’d bother with pourover if you don’t want to be precise. This isn’t gatekeeping. It’s a fairly straightforward and simple insistence that pourover is more effort than it’s worth unless you’re going to be very deliberate with it. If you just wanna mindlessly throw something together every morning, get an aeropress.
