Yes, that's herbs

Herb butter was put in chunks under the skin (the black spots under the skin) and the remaining herb butter was put on top, and re-covered with herbs/butter from basting throughout the cooking process.

I first made a fresh herb compound butter the night before, then stuffed chunks of it under the skin, and the rest on top. Then regular basting throughout the entire roast time to keep things moist and covered in juices and butter.
