If that kit comes with its own pudding mix, more than likely it was made with different ingredients specifically to help it keep its form when frozen. Kinda like how bigger Reese's peanut butter cups are made differently from smaller cups.

I only had these a few times, but I remember the taste. The frosting tasted like none other.
