Just buy cheap shit and in 2 years see what's not doing so great. You use that the most so think about spending more on that.
Also don't overpay for a knife. You can buy a sharpener that will slowly eat away at your knife meaning it needs to be replaced in 10 years. In When that time comes buy another $13 Walmart knife.

You should be able to buy all the pots, pans, knives, plates and cutlery for less than $50.

One point you might want to spend just a bit more on is to get cutlery that is heavier and more robust so you don't bend your forks. It doesn't matter if it's stamped metal, so long as it's thick enough not to bend.
