that salad doesn't look too bad, less parm would be good. The potatoes don't seem too bad either, just poorly presented, and could easily be made better. I've got a vendetta against that steak though, my father has always cooked our steaks WELL past well-done, to the point where you'd spend a good fifteen minutes chewing like three bites of its leathery, dry, sinewy flesh. Seriously, the guy would try to use the slow and low method on a steak. One time at a friend's house we had well-done steaks that his father, and while I said nothing, it came as a vast surprise to me that steak could actually NOT feel like a chore to eat. Every time I see a steak cooked like that, or even close to that, I'm reminded of my first decent steak.
