I was a picky eater as a young lad, but that was because I never actually tried things. I used to hate mushrooms, olives, onions, mustard, among other things, and now I use all those things regularly when I cook. Parents need to force their kids to try new things and not just feed them the same chicken nuggets and french fries every day.

I had a girlfriend that was a VERY picky eater.
>bringing up ideas for where we could eat

>I finally asked her what her favorite restaurant was

>order a BMT with everything that fits
>she gets cheese, lettuce, and mayo on white bread

>another day we went to Panera and she ordered the PB&J
I broke up with her for that reason. My favorite date is eating at restaurants and trying new foods. She wasn't worth robbing myself of that joy.
