I'm about to try and make a slow cooker stew. Do I need to sear the meat for a few seconds or just dump it in the cooker raw? Also does this stuff need to be exact or can I just toss in the ingredients? My cooker is very small.

All right, so in December, a footlong Meatball Marinara was $4 as part of some deal. Then we had JanuAny or whatever, where the meatball was of course $5. And now this month, the featured sub deal is that the meatball is $5. Even though it was always $5 before last December. Great deal, Subway.

Obviously, there'll be a price hike taking effect in March. Is it just me or is every $5 footlong remaining just plain shitty?
