I'm physically infertile due to invasive endometriosis, a poorly understood, heritable condition, and will never be able to naturally conceive - and if I could, through fertility treatments and IVF, I would not want to risk passing on such a terrible disease to a child to struggle with as I have. It is extremely painful. I also don't want to adopt someone else's undesirable rotten crotchfruit because shitheadism is genetic.

Despite disliking my parents, I can pick out the places where they succeeded. My thinking is not so black-and-white as yours.
However unfortunate it might be, growing accustomed to doing as you're told by those in positions of authority will be of great help to any person. Doing what is best for your physical and mental health is not always pleasant but always desirable. On the other hand, growing accustomed into thinking you can just bitch and bully into getting your way will get you nowhere in life but fired from work and/or shot by police. You know, whatever you want for your hypothetical kids.
