Sort of, some kids would have their lunches confiscated or their parents would get a note telling them off if it wasn't healthy enough though this is more to do with teachers power tripping but I heard of and saw it enough so it did happen and recently it was proposed to prevent the rise of childhood obesity so maybe it is now, also poor kids got lunch for free so if they didn't eat it their parents would get pissed off
