Never had a girlfriend who could cook worth a damn. My last one was amazed when I made pesto pasta, thought it was super complicated. She offered to make something, I was hesitant but went with it.

Not only did she not specify she was inviting some random dude from work I don't like (he's a betafag and she doesn't realize he's basically a stalker for her), but she basically just bought a jar of sauce at the store and put garlic in it. I'm not some sort of food hipster, but if you are making a meal for someone then you need to put at least a minimum of effort to make it good/homemade for them. She was from northern California.

All the other ones were from Texas, one from Maine, one from Germany while I was stationed there in the Army. It's a dying skill in women, which sucks. In my opinion, nothing says "I love you" more than coming home and unexpectedly there being something made for you that took time, effort and planning. Screw buying something for me, I'm not that material, but if you make something delicious for me that's marriage material right there. Probably because I have dated 0 women that have done it.

No one thinks this is nuts? Everyone I know IRL is disgusted by me when I make this.
