Here's the thing m8, you are completely within your rights to like ketchup on your hotdogs. I do too. But if you are looking to experience something specific to a region like a Chicago-style hotdog, you should at the very least try it the way that it is most authentic. I agree that the sperging out about ketchup is annoying, but you were doing it wrong. But it's not too late, you can still make one at home:

All-beef frank, yellow mustard, chopped white onions, bright green sweet pickle relish, a dill pickle spear, tomato slices, pickled sport peppers, and a dash of celery salt on a poppy seed bun

You also missed out on a Maxwell street Polish sausage which is more difficult to recreate at home
