If you want a nice lunch, Barking Crab in Boston is a larff and legit good food if you want to keep it informal. However, the Union Oyster House is probably the #1 place to go in Boston; it's been there like 200 years and every meal is amazing, plus the atmosphere and vibe of that restaurant is just aces.

If you want something different, the comfiest of Boston food experiences is in the North End (only 10m walk from Union Oyster). Don't be in a hurry, book yourself into one (literally any) of the Italian places and have a proper dinner. Whether you do Union Oyster or a North End place (or both) save your money ahead of time for that meal(s). It's worth indulging the shit is fucking cash and you want to have a good time.

Then after your coffee go for a wander down the brick gas lamp-lit sidewalks of the North End and explore a bit. Boston is best city.
