If you nuke a handful of these for about 10 seconds, they taste like fresh French fries. They're the only potato chips I've come across that are like this.

This is a brand of potato chips from my home state of Iowa. You can find it there and in surrounding states. When you open the bag it smells like french fries. Or batter. Or french fries and batter.

They're great at room temp but where they really shine is if you nuke em for a little bit, allowing the oil locked within to rise to the surface. Taste them again and they fully taste like french fries. it's incredible. order a bag online and try it.

Also they've had a ton of trans fats for as long as I can remember, even in face of the wave against trans fats. Something tells me they'll only change their recipe when the law requires it.
