Awesome thread OP, I always thought candy making was terrifying and difficult.
That looks pretty okay, is it really just sugar, color (not needed), and some flavor extract? Is that all? I made rock candy in like 4th grade, it was not even heated though, just a super sugar solution left to crystallize.
I thought you would use a mold for ice cubes like this pic to make something that you would want to put in your mouth. Those pieces look sharp.
