Americans are so loyal to whatever Walmart feeds them that they will convince themselves that a higher quality foreign alternative is literally stealing their freedom - as long as it isn't sold at Walmart. If there is a lower quality foreign alternative of course Walmart will sell that, and then when the domestic producer goes out of business the Walsharts will just blame immigrants and minorities.

I feel the same way about steak houses, poor flyovers act like it's some kind of high art to sprinkle salt on a piece of cow meat, apply heat, and serve.

At least with sushi there are many different kinds of fish and various preparations.

But what do I know, I've only lived in 3 different countries and traveled to over 40 and tasted every major cuisine and most of the minor ones.
