My wife’s bull always adds hot sauce to dinner right before we eat, no matter what we’re eating. He has a collection of them and they’re all way too fucking spicy but I’m afraid to confront him about it. Any quick and non-painful ways I can train my mouth to handle heat better?

Why the fuck do all my meals taste so bland, I put a lot of salt, pepper and paprika in them but in the end it's always tasteless. Do I just put more? Or am I doing it wrong somehow, maybe it's getting washed out with the excess water after baking?

I miss yeast and flour bros

what i hate about chinese cooking:

>every dish requires some new, special ingredient that may/may not be particularly detectable in the final dish, so your never sure if you should really invest in it
>every dish has sugar or some version sugar
>every dish is finished with scallion
>every dish seems incomplete without rice or noodles

what i hate about japanese cooking:

>translations are rough, requiring assumptions in many cases
>excessive use of fermented products (somehow i doubt even jap people are cooking with some of these ingredients)
>you either need to buy one off ingredients and process them thoroughly (e.g. using nori instead of hondashi powder)
>every ingredient is as expensive as madagascar vanilla beans but vastly less useful

i honestly just dont even bother anymore. ill just throw in some bok choy and eggs into instant ramen and call it a day
