My recipe is fresh collards, smoked ham hocks, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, red crushed pepper, apple cider vinegar, and a bit of pure cane sugar (1-2 Tbsp.). And green pepper sauce at the table. Pic related so you know what I'm talking about.

I eat this almost everyday with steamed rice, pinto beans, and some kind of meat (fried pork chops or chicken, pan-seared chicken breast, roast chicken, ribeye steak, blackened or fried catfish, etc.). I also like a simple salad with iceberg lettuce, tomato, red onion, garlic croutons, and Ranch dressing. Hushpuppies or cornbread are great, too. Maybe some yeast rolls.
