for corn chowder:
you need 4-6 strips streaky bacon cut into thin pieces vertically across the strip, a chopped onion, 3-4 potatoes in about 1cm cubes, 1 can (410gr?) creamed corn, about 500ml milk, and 15g butter.

in a pot saute the bacon and onion. about 500ml water, potatoes, salt and pepper, and simmer about 20 minutes. add the corn and milk and simmer about 5 more minutes. add the butter and stir in.

Okay so I'm new to this drinking thing and would like some help finding something nice and new to try. I've not had alcohol often, but have tasted some things and worked out what I've liked so far:
Lager with fresh lemon or lime juice
Red Wine, preferably eaten with dark chocolate
White wine, watered down with a little lime
Pina Colada
Strawberry Lime peach cider

Didn't like:
Vodka and Coke, Lemonade, just the smell of Vodka makes me want to be sick
Sambouca or whatever it's called, just the smell put me off
Peach Schnapps, again, smell


So I'm looking for something that goes nice with limes or is nice and sweet, that doesn't smell too strong. I've heard Advocaat tastes like custard, is that true? Sounds amazing. Also, coconut rum? I'm open to making simple cocktails with stuff you can buy from just a regular supermarket.
