Just leave them overnight, after about 8 hours they should be ready but there isn't an exact time, just throw them in water and go to sleep.

Can anyone explain to me why people absolutely lose their shit and act like it's the second coming of Jesus when work provides free lunch? When you're a minimum wage worker, I get it, the $3-$5 that lunch costs you is a half hour or more of work time. But for anyone in a real office? I don't understand it.

All I really see is a tray of copy/pasted sandwiches with a generic salad (looking at you Panera), or lukewarm chicken from Buffalo Wild Wings or something. Oh, and an excuse to get back to your desk with your food so you can squeeze in some extra work over your lunch hour.
