I cooked for an ex once and she was disgusted by the fact that I used coconut oil to sauté onions and garlic. I think her reasoning was the saturated fats would be harmful to consume.

I recently made a miso carrot cake (which really tasted like a salted caramel carrot cake) and my family did not like it at all. In my defense, they're all Amerilards that consume an alarming amount of processed foods + sugars.

I've only ever used a crappy coffeemaker I got from the thrift store, but since I've been browsing here recently I've decided I want to "evolve" if you will and buy a "real" coffeemaker.
