Yeah, that price sucks, your local store or regional distributor might be raping you. Even outside of PA, in the Northeast it's more like $12-14 for a 12-pack. More generally, Yuengling is facing something of a backlash because the distributors in new states hyped it up as something super-special, when it's not, it's just a normal American beer (no "craft" pretensions) that doesn't suck ass (unlike Bud), and hasn't sold out to corporate types....

At least, not yet. Dickie Yuengling has announced that he is going to leave the company to his daughters (ahem), and then all bets are off. So enjoy it while you can, Keystone State bros.

My wife is a good cook, but now that we have 2 daughters I want to help out a few nights a week. She's Asian and cooks accordingly, so I was thinking I'd go the other direction and cook American. Stuff like spaghetti, hamburger patties, or vegetable dishes. What 4 person meals would /ck/ advise for someone who is a total noob in the kitchen?
