The greatest soda in existence is pic related. Literally the only soda float I've ever liked as well (got it by accident the first time since it was listed as cream soda).

Everyone I've ever given it to as a gift has agreed and I always am asked to lug back tons of it whenever I'm in Japan.

Its just fucking annoying because it is only sold bottle size at some 7 and i-Holdings or served as a fountain drink at some family restaurants. Its impossible to buy in bulk or at grocery stores and the knock off melon sodas that you can find in Japanese stores are all garbage.

Seems a shame that Coke Japan is sitting on such a gold mine and seems to have no clue since Japanese people don't drink much soda and just regard it as one of the common flavors of Japan.

Its the best mass market soda typically available in America but after traveling the world for most of my 20s melon fanta, exclusively available in 7 and i-holdings and family restaurants is the best soda in the world. It also makes the best soda float I've ever had as well.

Everyone I've ever let taste my stash I bring back agrees and always tries to get me to bring them back a can.

Melon Fanta is the best soda I've had in the 8 countries I've been to (America, Canada, UAE, China, Japan, Turkey, Egypt, Oman)

I make it a point to try every single new soda I come across. China was the best for sheer number of unique flavors, America is second, but Japan has the rest of the world beat with Melon Fanta. Melon Fanta floats are also the only floats I like as well. I currently live in Japan and they get some unique seasonal flavors but most aren't really worth drinking more than once. The country is pretty lacking when it comes to variety otherwise.
