I'm a massive alcoholic and I make my own with a 4inch boka still. I can make it taste like vanilla vodka if I take my time, but I don't.

Homemade. I've been making since well.. A very long time. Learn it once and you'll never pay more than a few bucks per handle again.

Make your own. I spend 1 dollar x 15 for 30Kg of Sugar, 5 bucks on yeast, 8 x 47 cents on tomato paste, 1tsp of epsom salt 5 tsp of citric acid and 135 liters of water.

That's my cost. And some electricity.

You're missing out on the vanillin that's created in an azeotropic distillation in a column still. You get the hint of vanilla in every shot at 94% alcohol.

I know you next to nothing about distillation but you really should look into it before you open your stupid mouth. Try a proper distillers booze.

Killing yourself is nearly impossible with a home still. A home still is a big coffee maker. Don't let anyone lie to you about explosions or methanol. NONE of that shit happens.

3 hours and I have 3 handles of booze. Do the math on that. All for under a 30 bucks of sugar, 4 bucks of tomato paste, some citric acid, epsom salt, water. and 4 bucks of yeast.

Welp, I haven't used a PID on my still yet, but it still makes great vodka every day. You probably don't even understand the math behind a PID. I've forgotten more about technology than you know today. I worked at 3m making tape. They need technologists to do that.

This is the recipe for a vodka wash.

115L of water
30Kg Sugar
1326ml tomato paste (8.5cans)
5tsp Citric Acid
380g Yeast
1 tsp Epsom salt
2 campden tablets in water

After that, you distillate it in a machine like this. That thing pulls the alcohol from the water.

If you want cheap booze you need to make birdwatchers sugar wash and distill it in a home made still. You'll get about 30 liters of 40% from 40 bucks worth of walmart supplies. You need:

115L of water
30Kg Sugar
1326ml tomato paste (8.5cans)
5tsp Citric Acid
380g Yeast
1 tsp Epsom salt
2 campden tablets in water

In a fucking 12 hour seminar if I was required.

Start at https://homedistiller.org/forum/

regardless my still is essentially a giant coffee pot. It runs for 3 hours and gives me 3 handles of 65, 55 and 40 percent booze.

That's a 3 inch column, a Jackson Crossflow Condenser with a hand made Liebig cooler that all flows into a bottle in my bloody sink. The coolant is circulated by a Home Depot pond filter and it works reliably probably 200 times now.
