Personally, I recommend sticking to the American national standard: McDonald's famous hamburger restaurant. The thing is, when you're travelling in an distant land, you never know what you're gonna get at the neighborhood greasy spoon. Will they use disgusting "local" ingredients? Will the waitress laugh at your attempt to order without the correct regional dialect? Will the other patrons stare at your outlandish clothing and foreign manners? Will a gang of truckers "run a train" on you in the bathroom?

Why take a chance, when all of your familiar favorite dishes are readily available at the local McDonald's franchise, never more than two miles away? Don't add to the stress of travelling by trying to navigate Yelp recommendations for some sloppa that may give you food poisoning. Instead, treat yourself to a little "home away from home" with a McDonald's hamburger, chicken nuggers, french fries, and a refreshing fountain beverage. And be sure to try the hip new Trayvon Scott Meal (limited time only)! What a great restaurant.
