i have that exact one also, after frying i let the oil cool and pour it through a coffee filter in a funnel back into the oil bottle, it good for a few fries depending on what you're frying.

i fry about once a week and i take the fryer outside on the porch so it doesn't stink up the house and make the whole kitchen greasy.

Frying at home is like making pizza at home at first it's a big ordeal but after a few time you get a pattern figured and its no worse then anything else.
