People don't need to cook anymore. You can get fast food delivered via fucking uber these days. Cooking takes time and effort and is a skill that you have to learn. Really simple stuff like knowing how to heat a pan and add cold egg to it without making it stick takes a few tries to understand and can't really be explained. Most people simply do not care about doing any of this, and the facts are that most people save time (money) by ordering out do to efficiency of logistics. I will give an example.

>they mass produce product and send it right next to your house
>you can buy a whole frozen burger for a dollar
versus
>spend all the time and energy to make from scratch

It's obvious why people don't cook. Nobody I know my age knows what rosemary, dill, parsley, paprika, what peppers are different from others, what romaine versus iceberg is, what wines do in food. And they don't care. It's why health rates are in decline.
