I bought a six pack of this Monday. I have been drinking mainly IPAs, sours, wheat/witbeers, and Saisons this spring and summer. Haven't had a big malty beer in a long time, and I always wanted to try this. I thought why not? The place I get my beer got a whole bunch of Oskar Blues in recently.

I am very disappointed. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for a big malty beer after all? Honestly I don't like it at all. I even made my self drank two of them on different occasions, but on the third one I poured it out, couldn't finish it. Way too thick and malty and sweet.

I get caramel, malt, malt, and more malt, chocolate, some fruitiness, and a tiny bit of earthy smokiness. Sounds fine, right? Well for some reason I couldn't stand it. Maybe my tastes changed? I would have been all about this the past winter.

Weird.

I got a six pack of this and I'm on number one. It tastes pretty good. I'm glad I picked it up. I paid less than $10 for it and if I see a six pack for that again I'd get one if I was in the mood. Ten-Fidy was really good but overly expensive. Dale's Pale ale way way too creamy and gave me this weird creamy diarrhea after drinking a six pack.

Over all I think it's a good brewery. I'd be interested in trying their other big beers but I've never seen them around. I like that the beer is in cans too.
