Honestly I completely agree with this, white British people don't really have a need for animal-based foods anymore
I'd be very suspicious if suddenly people were promoting vegan versions of arabic and pakistani dishes (which would be to deprive men from these cultures of high-quality protein and androgenic foods). It is very true to say that white british have entered a phase of cultural development where things like meat-eating and virility are no longer competitive traits but it's still important for most afro-diaspora communities and muslim communities in the UK
