I await some greedy guts to say "This looks pretty good."

Why do people get so buttblasted if you don't like their food or don't care to try it? I hate having to go through the song and dance of "oh wow that's soooo good" when in reality they can't cook for shit. I would just save us both the trouble and not eat what is obviously poorly cooked slop but that's also considered rude unless you yet again go through another song and dance of "oh haha sorry I already ate" or "I'm allergic". If someone doesn't like my food I just don't take it personally.

I would not. I do not eat food prepared by other people unless its in a kitchen monitored by the local health inspection agency.
