I'll add onto this with some places to go outside of the main downtown area. If you can make it out to the Fenway area you should try:
> Citizens Public House and Oyster Bar
Nice whiskey and Oyster bar thats 2 blocks from Fenway. Can be a little on the expensive side and sometimes busy but its one of my favorite whiskey bars in the city
>Woodys Grill and Tap
Nice little pizza bar just through the fens, maybe 15 minute walk from the park. Really good pizza, good beers on draft, and a nice cozy, baseball themed atmosphere, and my favorite place to watch a Sox game when I'm in the area. Even though its in a busy area, its pretty tucked away so its not super busy except at peak times.
>Timout Market place
Kind of like an upscale mall food court, but its worth checking out. They have rotating pop up kitchen areas where different restaurants come from all around the area to showcase what they're got to offer

If you're looking to go a little farther out I'd recommend heading to Coolidge Corner in Brookline for a day. There's the old theater which is always a good time, you can go to the booksmith, just do shopping at the local stores, or even just head over to the area for dinner/lunch only then head back to fenway (they're about a 30-45 minute walk from each other, or a 20 minute ride on the T)
>michaels deli
Breakfast/lunch deli style sandwich shop. Pretty good stuff but desu I think its a little overrated.
>Allium
Hipster store but their coffee is probably the best you'll get in that area (and arguably most of Boston). Sandwiches are pretty food albeit a little overpriced
>Ganko Ittetsu Ramen
Personally my favorite ramen in the greater Boston area, don't do takeout though, the interior is modeled like an old Japanese ramen house, very comfy and everything is made to order

If you have a specific area you'll be in Boston, I can give some more recommendations
