What the FUCK is up with people thinking it's okay to feed other people's children junk food as a "treat"? This seems so commonplace among family and friends and it infuriates me.

I entirely avoid processed food, sweets, dairy, high sugar fruits, wheat, low quality meat, basically all unhealthy crap. and I make sure my kids do the same. I cook everything: we eat mostly vegetables, rice/oats, nuts, low sugar fruit, with high quality meat (mostly fish) a few times a week. I've worked hard to make sure they've avoided everything wrong with modern food.

Yet at every family get together I can't look away without grandma or an uncle or whoever giving them a piece of candy, a cookie, chips, a drink of soda, or any other garbage. I constantly tell them not to but they keep doing it. Today I told everyone I'm not coming to meetups anymore and I forbade them from visiting my kids.

Why do people think this kind of shit is acceptable? They are MY children and I should be responsible for their diets.
