technically he is not a chef. he went to culinary school for the express purpose of making Good Eats.
there are some on /ck/ who shit on him for this.

his recipes lean towards bland, but his goal was to teach solid basics and encourage experimentation so that's fine.

either way at least two thirds of the board learned from him, he is the patron saint of /ck/.
