Actually no, it's incredibly subtle. My friends and I tried them after only around a week of pickling and they were disappointed by how subtle the beet flavor was! Two weeks seems to hit the sweet spot.

Two weeks worked well and allowed the beet coloring to seep through the egg. The flavor is really good with these.
