Always reminds me of Under the Volcano. Which I should read again soon actually.
Amazing book, I'd say it comes close to Ulysses actually, and it catches that miserable al/ck/ feel perfectly.

It's mandatory drunk-core if you're into literature at all. Very good book. Very depressing book.
