I went to Portillos in Chicago this weekend.

Waited 45 minutes. They got my order wrong, and when they finally gave me the food I was missing, it was charred to shit and had gone cold. Tore up my insides like no other. I'm pretty sure that they had it laying around after burning someone else's order, and then gave it to me just to spite me for complaining.

Worst sausage I've ever eaten. I have no clue how you could fuck up something that simple, and it astonishes me that the place is as popular as it is.
I'm firmly convinced that the only reason Chicago natives recommend it is to fuck with tourists. I can't think of any other explanation.
