>preheat oven to 350
>make crepe recipe that serves 8 pancakes, Alton Brown's works fine
>instead of cooking them normally put it in a waffle maker
>after the steam is mostly gone pull it
>cook all (should only take 1 cycle if you have belgian/4-at-once waffle maker)
>transfer into oven for 10 minutes
>remove and garnish as desired

voila, the crispiest waffles ever

I only drink hot drinks, at most room temperature. Almost all of my daily water intake is hot herbal or decaf teas. Cup or two of coffee with toffee creamer in the morning is a nice treat, though.

I have a dairy allergy and can confirm it tastes like shit. Actually I can pinpoint the exact taste, and once I tell you it you will never be able to un-taste it. You ready? Knockoff Hot Pocket "ham 'n' cheese" cheese.

Taste and texture are the only things that genuinely matter as long as you are capable of moderation. The stigma and labels ttached to eating meat or vegan or whatever else is irrelevant. As long as the taste and texture are pleasing and you're not causing severe physical damage to your body by ingesting it, anything is fine. Again, in moderation.

I tried a vegan cheese a few days ago and it was pretty okay, it would never replace the taste/texture of real cheese, but for people with allergies it must be a wonderful thing to exist in this day and age where so many things have near-equivalents made out of coconuts or cashews.

Actually, probably my favorite thing to come of all this is cashew-based ice cream. I love the taste of cashews, and I honestly can't tell you if I prefer cashew or dairy ice cream more.

Are there any tastes or textures that you all enjoy that is frowned upon by the majority or a vocal minority?
