I'm about to post my submission, finally. But I wanted to warn you, I wrote some little blurbs to go along with it, because I thought a little background would be good. As usual, I had a blast with this week's challenge, and luckily I had people here to help me eat it, or I'd be dead, lol. I hope everyone enjoys! Pics, closeups, and verticals to follow!

Items are getting prepped! I won't be posting my submission until tonight, because I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon, but it's a-comin'. There've been some great submissions so far, I hope people enjoy mine. I wish I could have gotten it in earlier in the week, but this was my first day off with enough time to get it done. Later, ro/ck/stars!

Hello co/ck/les. To get straight to the point, which of these cookbook ideas sound best to you (even if you're not interesting in any of them, tell me which one would be most appealing to you). None of the "titles" are set yet, those are working titles.

- The Waffle Book (exactly as it implies, a ton of different waffle recipes, including appetizer waffles, breakfast waffles, savory waffles, main course waffles, dessert waffles, international style waffles, etc. etc. etc.)

- Comfort Food (which would include all sort of comfort foods, from healthy to indulgent, from all over and in every category)

- Satisfaction - Cooking Amazing Food on a Budget (low cost cooking from scratch using good ingredients, including how to use leftovers, grocery shopping, using whole foods and whole animals, cooking in bulk, etc.)

Thanks guys. Also, any other ideas for cookbooks would be welcome and encouraged!

Hey /ck/, I'm going to show you how to make delicious Pumpkin - Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake Bars!
Here's a list of ingredients.
You'll need:
1 regular package Oreos
4 Tablespoons butter
2 8-oz. packages of cream cheese
1 can pumpkin puree
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons flour
pumpkin pie spice (or cinnamon and nutmeg)
a dash of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 ounces chocolate (I used Ghiradelli 60% cacao baking chips)

If you look at the archives, there's two threads of recipes I've posted. (pic related, it's the pic I always use for recipe dump threads.)

Anyway, tonight I wanted simple comfort food, so I roasted a turkey breast (which I had brined and seasoned), and served it with seasoned, buttered egg noodles and french style peas (peas cooked with onions and butter lettuce, in a light cream sauce). It was delicious. Nice meal for a cool autumn night. Anyway, tomorrow I'm making sausage-apple stuffed acorn squash for dinner. I'll try and remember to take pics and post em. I always forget pics, because I get so wrapped up in my cooking I get carried away.
